1) Business Development Manager – Airport Special Systems

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented Sales professional to join a market leading Special Airport Systems Integration Company in the role of Business Development Manager.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the main duties will be:

  • Overall management of the sales activities within certain territories. Make sure that the sales activates align with the company’s mission, strategic objectives and policies.
  • Develop and win new business opportunities from Airports, Civil Aviation Authorities, Military and other clients identified in the business sales strategy on the country scale
  • Call on existing customers and manage relationships with key individuals to protect and develop business opportunities and maintain company’s high reputation.
  • Pro-active in developing business opportunities with Consultants/Contractors, with the ability to influence key decision makers at whatever level they may be, both technically or commercially.
  • Ascertain key requirements of particular prospective work packages and determine opportunities & strategies.
  • Study RFPs & recommend the structure and content of quotations/proposals. Work with the pre- sales team to prepare bids and tenders. Negotiate business proposals until sale closure.
  • Get market intelligence and information concerning prospective projects, potential competitors & decide about commercial strategies
  • Contribute to the development of business development & sales strategy
  • Liaison with the CEO/ Group Managing Director and the technical team for bidding & sales actions
  • Provide regular reports of business development activities together with action plans to secure salestargets within the business plan
  • Develop, and maintain strong relations with vendorsKEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREDThe successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes
  • Extensive experience in Management, business development experience with outstanding record ofsuccess in personally winning significant new business within the aerospace sector, specifically inthe Civil Aviation market.
  • Successful in developing new Accounts and managing Key Accounts.
  • Previous project management experience would be an advantage
  • Proactive and dynamic approach to work with high level decision makers
  • Willingness to travel within the region.
  • Must be technically adept with experience in Airport Systems, mainly ATC and ATM
  • Preferable experience in the UAE/GCC, added value: MENA and Africa.

THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the PMO (Project Management Office), the main duties will be:

 

  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Responsible for the assembling and forming the project staff/team; for their technical or functional development, performance monitoring, and release/relocation during projects.
  • Manages project budget and resource allocation. Facilitates the definition of project management plan and customer requirements.
  • Interacts regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery. Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients’ needs as appropriate to senior management. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
